Enjoy an evening out with First Friday with free activities that will be at various downtown businesses. Before you head to the Towanda football game, stop in at The Flying Cow Café & Bakery, Café 316, T-Town Bakery, Community Cup Coffee & Tea House, Weigh Station Café, Red Rose Diner or The Willow Café for a bite to eat. You and your family can have a healthy meal before you head to the game. After your meal, take time to walk and look around at the businesses. Stop and vote for the people's choice at the Chili Cook Off. Samples will be provided for judging who has the best chili around. Try a piece of corn bread prepared by T-Town Bakery while sampling the chili. You might even see some scarecrows hanging out within the businesses as part of the First Friday Fall Fling.

The Country Peddler will be offering 10 percent off of their products for the night.

T-Town Bakery offering a buy two and get one free of their fall cookies. The hours will be 7:30-9 p.m. Natural High, a local band consisting of Josh Morgan, Danny Wihelm and Jorden Isbell, will be performing from 5-8 p.m. They play a wide range of rock music and a few of their own hits. They will be found playing at the Mane Street Hair & Nails parking lot.

The Total Chaos Mud Bogging Team 4-wheel drive vehicles will be these set up near Mane Street Hair & Nails.

Stampin Up, Lia Sophia, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One and Dove Chocolates will be located between Bridge Street and Washington Street.

The Purple Rooster will be offering 10 percent off of their products for the entire day.

Community Cup Coffee & Tea House will be hosting the Magic Touch Studio starting at 6 pm. If you get tired of walking stop in and buy a coffee or tea and listen to the sounds that the Magic Touch has to offer.

The Weigh Station Café will be featuring live music from 5-8 p.m.

The Willow Tree Café will also be open.

KZFM Radio the KZFM KraZy KZ Cat will have a live remote and be prowling about so make sure you stop and shake a paw with him.

Towanda's United Methodist Church is making a debut with First Friday. Make sure you walk down to their apple cider tailgate party from 5-7:30 p.m. featuring free hotdogs, apple cider, coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream, chili, homemade pie and more.

Chemung Canal Trust Company will be offering pumpkin donuts and apple cider. Take a minute to learn more about youth checking accounts for kids 13 year and older.

No trip down town is complete without stopping in to see what is happening at Ben Franklin's.

The Flying Cow Bakery & Café will have a chicken barbecue, along with pumpkin decorating, and will be open until 8 p.m. A special thanks to First Citizens Community Bank for helping out with the project this year.

The Harvest House will be handing out free apple cider and treat bags along with face painting for the children.

Rainbow's End Thrift Shop will offer a storewide buy one, get one free sale from 5 p.m. to close. Real-life scarecrows will be offering complimentary fresh apples on behalf of Memorial Hospital. Additionally, representatives from Partners in Family and Community Development will join the festivities to promote the Red Ribbon "A Healthy Me is Drug Free!" campaign.

Vincents Pizza will have its "Triple Play Time" this Friday. Get a large pizza with one topping, wings and garlic knots all for $19.95.

Café 316 will be open to take care of all your dining pleasures.

The New 2 U Consignment will offer time to shop for some fall/winter clothes or putting together your Halloween costume.

The Subway Man will be visiting First Friday again and has some special deals.

Futures Community Support will have their booth at First Friday, where you can purchase their cookbooks for $10 as part of their fundraising efforts. They will have some tasty sweet treats there, too.
