A dedication ceremony for the Valley Express is being held today at Elizabeth Square in Waverly.

Merri Montgomery of Laporte was named coordinator of the Sullivan County Emergency Management Agency.

State Sen. Roger Madigan recently presented the area chapter of the Rainbow Girls with a state flag once flown over the state capitol.

75 years ago - 1935

Tony Tama, well-known shoe repair man, has changed his headquarters from Bridge Street to 504 Main Street in the shop between Minier's and the W.H. Seigel jewelry store.

The school in Rummerfield opens next week with Miss Elizabeth LeBarrer of Bumpville and Miss Marjorie Lundy of Hornbrook as the teachers.

Mrs. Walter Davis assisted Minnie Pardner with her wallpapering recently in Welles Hollow.
