About 40 to 50 cross country skiers took part in the fourth annual Sullivan County 15K Cross Country Ski Race held yesterday at Hanley's Happy Hills in Eagles Mere.

For about three hours yesterday afternoon, the Joseph Berlinger silk mill on Lombard Street was picketed by approximately 25 people who represented themselves as former employees of the Berlinger mill at Weatherly, Pa., now closed because of labor troubles.
Dana Boyle, member of the Waverly Police Force for the last 13 years, resigned recently to take a position with the Lehigh Valley railroad police.
In the six cow-testing associations in Bradford County, there were 293 cows that made 40 pounds or more of butterfat. The Ulster association leads with 81 cows on the honor roll, Canton is second with 69, Wyalusing third with 64, Laurel Hill fourth with 32, Troy fifth with 24 and Western Bradford sixth with 23.
