A choral group from SRU High School sang for the guests at the Bradford County Manor's holiday party.

Wyalusing cross country runner Tom Frazier left for San Antonio, Texas, today with hopes of placing well in the AAU/USA Cross Country National Championships.

75 years ago - 1934

An anonymous woman sent a letter and $1 to Captain Robert Bennett of the Salvation Army. The letter stated that though $1 was a small amount, all she currently has is $2, and she wanted to share with someone else.

Frank H. Ott was re-elected president of the Towanda School Board and Dr. S.D. MacLaren was elected vice president.

At the meeting of the newly organized Electrical Contractors' Association of the Valley, Sayre resident Daniel P. Tierney was elected president.
