Towanda's Chris Jennings etched his name into the record books at Memorial Park last night when he took over the NTL single season rushing record with a 136-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Black Knight victory. Jennings finished the regular reason with 1,770 yards.
Yesterday, kids at Gladys Burnham Elementary School in Bentley Creek (Ridgebury Township) were given a presentation in crime prevention and safety as part of Ridgebury's Neighborhood Crime Prevention Program. The main subject of the program was to initiate a McGruff House Program, which would provide children a safe haven in case of an emergency.
The U.S. Achievement Academy announced that David Vernusky of Troy has been named a national award winner. He was nominated for this national award by Joan Roy, a science teacher.
