The number of freshmen at Mansfield University increased by 14 percent this year. The campus saw 634 entering freshmen in September, which is 84 more than last year's entering class of 550.

Sayre's Pat Esposito closed out a fine season yesterday with a 138-yard effort against the Montgomery Red Raisers. The total pushed Esposito over the 1,000-yard mark for the season as he finished the year with 1,002 yards.

Mrs. William M. Rosenfield of Towanda was re-elected fourth vice president of the Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women at its recent annual convention.

"Derio," versatile entertainer, will give an exhibition of trick and fancy skating in the Canton High School auditorium in the near future. Derio is considered one of the greatest novelty roller skaters in the business today.
Sale of properties in the county for delinquent 1932 taxes will be held today at the courthouse when Country Treasurer Roy G.C. Jones sells them as required by law.
The sponsorship of the newly organized troop of Boy Scouts in Canton has been transferred from the Canton Presbyterian Church to the Canton Rotary Club.
