Though Bradford-Sullivan Counties Junior Miss Lisa Kim of Towanda didn't return home form the state Junior Miss pageant with any awards, she said she had a great time with the 27 other contestants.
A granite monument paying tribute to Bradford County veterans of World War I, World War II, and Vietnam has been placed in the Veterans Memorial Park in Towanda.
Dr. Jean Rockwell Warner, a Towanda High School graduate, recently authored a book called "Word Processing for Colleges."
