The Loyal Order of the Moose in Waverly recently held its biannual Association Dinner for bingo workers. Guests included several Women of the Moose who also give their time working bingo.
In a move designed to take control of their own destinies, Sayre Senior Citizen Club offices circulated Living Will Declarations to their members and to several Robert Packer Hospital waiting rooms.
DuPont's drug/alcohol safety awareness team visited the Towanda Day Care Center recently where they presented a program to both the day care and kindergarten classes about seatbelt safety and saying "no" to drugs and alcohol.

The plan of Valley Red Cross Chapter was endorsed recently by the board of directors of the Waverly Chapter at its regular meeting at May Muldoon Junior High School.
The County Civil Defense Office in Towanda has received information from the District Public Works office that indicates that five sites in Bradford County qualify as fallout shelters and are eligible for marking and stocking. The sites are the Bradford County Jail at Towanda, The Department of Highways building in Towanda, the Lehigh Valley Railroad tunnel at Sayre, the J.J. Newberry store at Towanda, and the Post Office building at Sayre.
The annual winter exhibit of the Valley Arts Club opened recently in the old bank building on Desmond Street, Sayre. There are 94 works of art from 27 exhibitors. The work of Mrs. Ruth Culver of Laceyville was chosen by the judges as the most outstanding in the show.
