After a six- or seven-year combined effort on the parts of Athens Borough, Athens Township, and the Athens School District, a traffic light at the intersection of Elmira and Pine streets in Athens may become a reality.

Alene Hughes of Athens recently assumed the presidency of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Athens.
