No-parking signs now grace Allison Street in Sayre between Lockhart Street and Wilbur Avenue. The signs were installed on this one-way section of the street after borough council heard complaints from area residents.

Towanda High School finished third with 42 points in the District 4, PIAA wrestling tournament staged at Williamsport High School over the weekend.
William H. Ransom Jr. was elected president of the Waverly Rotary Club at its regular meeting held recently.

The Franklindale Methodist Church, which as been closed for over 14 years, has been reopened under the direction of the Rev. Roy L. Hotchkiss, who is pastor of the Monroeton charge in the Elmira district.

The Girl Scouts of Troop 2 held their regular meeting recently. A bird contest was won by Doris Westervelt with Marie Bull in second.
