On June 8, 1972, during the Vietnam War, a South Vietnamese Air Force jet dropped a napalm bomb onto the village of Trang Bang. Associated Press photographer Nick Ut (oot) captured the image of a screaming 9-year-old girl, Phan Thi Kim Phuc (fahn thee kihm fook), as she ran naked and severely burned from the scene of the explosion along with other victims.

Bradford County 4-H members and a 4-H leader attended 4-H Capital Days in Harrisburg recently. They were Terri Packard, East Troy Home Ec 4-H Club; Bonnie Duffield, Wyalusing Horse and Pony 4-H Club; Craig Devonshire, Northeast Ag. And Home Ec 4-H Club; Michele Hollenback, Mt. Lake 4-H Club; and Cindy Williams, leader of the North Towanda 4-H Club.
The Fine Arts Council of Troy recently held its annual spring exhibit at the Bradford County Library. In the people's choice category, Hilda Moore came in first place.
