Towanda Area Joint Operating Committee meeting last night voted to offer a contract for 12 months to Charles R. Dull, a Penn State graduate, to teach vocational agriculture and general science. This will be his first teaching experience. The salary was set at $5,400.
Judge James W. Cullen heard his first appeal from a summary conviction for speeding gained through radar evidence in court yesterday, and sustained the conviction. This was the first time that a radar conviction for speeding had been appealed in this county since radar evidence became legal in this state last summer.
A meeting has been scheduled for July 26 in conjunction with the regular assembly of the Bradford County School Board, to discuss the feasibility of obtaining an area technical school for this county.
