At their meeting tonight, Sayre Borough Council will discuss ways of raising Sayre's revenue, mainly through a fee for garbage collection and an occupation tax for Sayre residents.
About 30 parents and educators pitched in and erected playground equipment Saturday at the W.R. Croman Elementary School in Troy. Anita Drislane, past Parent-Teacher Association president, said workers began at 7 a.m., putting up the pieces made out of center-drilled and pressure-treated lumber.
Free boat rides were one of the attractions offered yesterday at Family Day, part of the first annual Victorian Children's Festival. Family Day was held at Island Pond, wrapping up the festival, which was held this weekend in Sayre.

Approximately 500 persons attended the annual Big Pond school reunion held Saturday at Lake Ondaws, the feature being an excellent address on "What you know as your government" by Hon. David R. Perry of Altoona, representative of the General Assembly in Harrisburg.
Charged with the theft of $40 from Mrs. Laura Hagerman of Milltown, Sayre, a man booked as Ralph R. Dickerson, alias Dr. Richards, D.D., 34 and giving his address as Dayton, Ohio, is being held in Elmira on a fugitive from justice warrant following his arrest there Friday afternoon by Private Eugene E. Stanfield of the Athens sub-station of the Pennsylvania Motor police.
Starting Tuesday evening, Aug. 30, the Helm Sisters, preaching, singing and playing evangelists of Sunbury, Pa., will open an evangelistic campaign in the old Bumpville church.
