Bradford County jail warden Robert Fauver told the prison board at its month meeting on Monday that, at no cost to the county, he and deputy warden Kenneth Heffner will be attending a course at the National Institute of Correction in Boulder, Colo. July 17-23. The warden explained that the course will cover preparatory steps to be taken to ensure a smooth move from the old jail into the new facility.
Paul Schonewolf, president of Scholmann Entertainment, appeared before Troy Borough Council on Monday, explaining the reason for the rate increase in local cable service. Schonewolf said that the increase is necessary because of the condition of tower and plant, both of which are in poor shape and need to be replaced.
Memorial Hospital's KISS (Keep Infants in Safety Seats) program presented Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bell a Father's Day carseat to celebrate the birth of their son, Glenn, born on June 18, 1988 at Memorial Hospital.
