As a member of the Bradford County salary board, county treasurer Nancy Schrader yesterday voiced concern during a board meeting at having found "a lot of inequities" in the pay rates set for various job classifications. The county treasurer questioned why a part-time deputy, Steven Evans, who was hired yesterday, was being placed at a higher grade on the county scale than another employee who's been in that office for years.

In an air of confrontation, Rev-Up representatives met with Towanda Area Airport Authority members at their regular monthly meeting last night to discuss traffic routing problems and other last minute details for this weekend's Fall Foliage Festival at the Towanda airport. Festival Chairman Gary Goeckel requested authority members to reconsider their earlier decision to confine the Rev-Up activities o the eastern end of the airport.

The Homecoming Queen for Athens High School will be crowned this Saturday at half-time of the Wyalusing-Athens football game. Candidates include Angel Forbes, Jill Rosenbloom, Kristi Miettunen, Denise Campbell, Les Gotch, and Angie Calveric.
