The Sullivan County Council on the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting artistic talent in Sullivan County, continued its schedule of interesting events by sponsoring Polka Night at Laporte.
Music for all ages, an even sponsored by Towanda Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, was held with music provided by DJ Aaron Hovan and "Bridge Street."
Members of Monroe Hose Co. met for their September meeting.

Bradford County entries won 11 places in the Pennsylvania Holstein Associations 10th annual Black and White Show held at the State Farm Show building in Harrisburg.
Mrs. Rita MacDonald, executive secretary of the Bradford County Chapter of the American Red Cross, announced that the annual fund drive was changed from spring to fall.
Herrickville 4-H Club had a party for members of the community and friends and displayed their projects.
