The Bradford County Sheriff's Department and the Pennsylvania State Police conducted a joint operation, in which a helicopter was deployed, to serve bench warrants at several locations in Bradford County earlier this week, the sheriff said.

The warrants were issued by either the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, for criminal or family court cases, or by a magisterial district judge, Bradford County Sheriff Clinton "C.J." Walters said.

The locations where the warrants were served included Franklindale, Granville and Marcy Hill, he said.

There were no confrontations or injuries involved in serving the warrants, he said.

"Everybody was compliant," he said.

A state police helicopter was used to support the operation, which occurred on Wednesday, Walters said.
