June Houghtaling has resigned from her job as system administrator for Bradford County's public libraries in order to take another job, a Bradford County commissioner confirmed.

Houghtaling said she resigned in order to take a job as a district consultant for Pennsylvania's North-Central Library District. As a district consultant, Houghtaling will serve an 11-county region which includes Bradford County.

Houghtaling will start her new job on March 26. Her last day on the job working for Bradford County is March 21.

Houghtaling has served as Bradford County's system administrator a little over one year.

She had previously served as director of the Towanda Public Library for 10 years.

Houghtaling said she will continue to live in Bradford County.

The county is currently searching for a replacement for Houghtaling, Bradford County Commissioner Daryl Miller said.
