Individual transported to hospital after accident at gas well site
A individual was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in Towanda Thursday after being involved in an accident at a gas well site in Rome Township, the Rome Fire Chief John park confirmed.
"We were led to believe (that the individual) was run over by a piece of equipment," said Park.
The accident was reported at 4:06 p.m., authorities said.
Park said gas well site is located on Towner Hill Road and was possibly a Chesapeake Energy Corp. site, though he said he could not confirm it.
Chesapeake Energy spokesman Rory Sweeney referred questions to another company, Onda-Lay Pipe.
However, no information could be obtained from Onda-Lay Pipe late Thursday night.
