James Street resurfacing project in Bradford County starts next week

MONTOURSVILLE ­- A $189,000 resurfacing project on Route 1041 (James Street) in North Towanda Township, Bradford County, is set to start the week of April 15.

The project begins at the intersection of James Street and Route 6 and will end at the James Street Bridge.

Prime contractor New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. will begin by rock-lining some drainage ditches and installing concrete curbing. Later in the project, the work will include milling of the top layer of pavement and resurfacing with new blacktop.

Traffic will be maintained by daylight flagging operations.

All work is scheduled for completion by May 24.
