'Queen Elizabeth' at the Keystone

The Winding River Players will present the play, "Queen Elizabeth" at the Keystone Theatre on Friday.

This is a celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Keystone and is the first play presented when the theater, then Hale's Opera House, opened that September in 1887. It starred one the most famous late 19th century actresses, Elizabeth Crocker Bowers, and the people of Towanda were proud she chose our town for a stop on her nationwide tour.

If you would like to be a part of this re-creation, please come to the Black Box Theatre, 415 Main Street, Towanda, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11. We would like to have participants from the local area to fill out the cast and crew for this historic re-creation.
