Joel B. Christian has released a new holiday album for 2012, "Home for Christmas."

This album of instrumental music features Christian on solo guitar playing a selection of holiday favorites. It includes favorites like "Silent Night" and "Winter Wonderland" as well as new original compositions including "Coming of the Kingdom."

Playing his signature sound of acoustic classical guitar blended with synthesizer, this release of instrumental music continues in the musical tradition of his previous release, "This Christmas."

"Home for Christmas" was recorded with new hexaphonic technology, allowing each string of the guitar to be recorded separately. This allows a unique stereo sound uncommon in the music industry. This combined with simultaneous guitar and guitar synthesizer gives a very unique sound.

"I wanted the recording to sound like you're in my living room while I play, keeping things simple," Christian said. "Much of today's music is compressed and edgy; this CD gives a calmer alternative for holiday music."

This CD project was done as a fundraiser for St. Agnes School in Towanda. The school will be selling the CD locally, with the proceeds benefitting the school.

Bradford County Regional Arts Council will also have the CD available for sale at the Keystone Theatre in Towanda, with proceeds benefitting the theatre.

The CD is available for sale at St. Agnes School (265-6803) and at the Keystone Theatre (268-ARTS). It is also available for sale online at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, and on iTunes.
