Robert Wagner of Easton, Pa., who became lost while hunting Monday in the hills around the Monroeton Gun Club in Monroe Township, has been found, the Monroeton fire chief said.

A New Albany firefighter located Wagner not too far from an old logging road in Monroe Township at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, said Paul Bump, chief of the Monroe Hose Company.

"He (Wagner) was OK," Bump said. "They put him in a truck and got him warmed up. He was all right."

Medical personnel at the scene examined Wagner, Bump said.

Wagner, who is about 50 years old, went out hunting around noon on Monday with another person. At around 7:20 p.m. Monday, the other person reported that Wagner was missing, Bump said.

"They had a cabin in the area, so he must have known the area pretty well," the fire chief said. "He just lost his bearings, I guess."

Firefighters from the Franklin Township, Monroeton, and New Albany fire companies were involved with the search. A state police helicopter with a high-intensity light also participated in the search.
