Manor reaches out to employee recently diagnosed with lung cancer
Each day, the Bradford County Manor gives its attention to its residents, providing them the care that they need.
Recently, however, the Manor reached out to one of its own.
In a news release, Diane Sindoni, marketing director at the Manor, said that the Dietary Department at the Manor recently held a fundraiser for dietary attendant Ann Acla of Towanda, who she said was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
"All staff members and Bradford County Manor as well as the community came together to make this fundraiser a success with raising over $2,000 to help with medical costs," she said in an email. "Ann expressed that she is very grateful and would like to thank the staff and the community for their support and donations."
When asked for comment, Sindoni said that Acla has been with Bradford County Manor for 10 years, and is "very dedicated, well liked and well thought of."
The fundraising consisted of a lottery basket raffle, bake sale/luncheon, and jeans day at the Manor.
She said the next fundraiser is in progress, with a wine basket raffle at the Manor.
