This year in Bradford County, a range of municipal offices and school board seats are up for election.

Among the municipal offices that are up for election in 2013 are township supervisor, borough council member, mayor, tax collector, and municipal auditor, Bradford County Elections Director Renee Smithkors said.

Anyone who wishes to appear on the ballot in the May 21 Primary Election must file a nomination petition by March 12 with the Bradford County Elections Bureau. The first day that candidates can circulate and file nomination petitions is Feb. 19.

In the May 21 Primary Election, voters will determine which candidates will win the Republican and Democratic spots on the November 2013 ballot.

Also up for election this year are judge of elections for each voting precinct, as well as minority and majority inspectors of elections for each voting precinct.

Petition packets can be obtained at the Bradford County Elections Bureau, which is located in the Annex Building, behind the Bradford County Courthouse.
