A new class has been added to the line up at the Troy Fair Demolition Derby, sponsored by the Sylvania Lions, according to a news release.

The news release continues:

The 2010 line will include front-wheel drive 6 cylinder on Saturday, July 31, along with the normal full size, the 4-cylinder small car, and full-size pickup trucks. Friday night's action will include mini-vans, small pickups, 4-cylinder and of course, the mid-size 1974 through 1979 and all 1980 and newer.

There will non-qualifier heats for the mid- and full-size cars for a second chance to make the feature events both nights.

All cars must be supplied by the drivers, and drivers must be at least 18 years of age. There will be limited pit area parking, so only tow vehicles will be allowed to enter the pit area with no exceptions.

The Sylvania Lions have been hosting the show for 35 years and continue working to make changes to keep up with the times. People are encouraged to bring the whole family out both Friday and Saturday nights to enjoy the fair and the demolition derby, with show times at 7 p.m.
