Pa. Revenue secretary Meuser to address Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce
Pennsylvania Secretary of Revenue Dan Meuser will address the Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce at a noon luncheon on Thursday, March 14. The Secretary will be speaking about Governor Corbett's proposed 2013-2014 budget.
Meuser was nominated by Governor Tom Corbett on Jan. 18, 2011 to be Secretary of Revenue, and he was subsequently unanimously confirmed to the post by the Pennsylvania Senate on May 3, and then sworn into office on May 20.
The Department of Revenue's mission is to fairly, efficiently and accurately administer the tax laws and other revenue programs of the commonwealth to fund necessary government services. In addition to tax collection, the department administers the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, researches and develops revenue projections for the state budget and oversees the Pennsylvania Lottery, which generates funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.
Prior to being nominated as Revenue secretary, Meuser was with Pride Mobility Products for more than 20 years and is the former president of Pride USA.
