Pennsylvania Secretary of Revenue Dan Meuser will address the Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce at a noon luncheon on Thursday, March 14. The Secretary will be speaking about Governor Corbett's proposed 2013-2014 budget.

Meuser was nominated by Governor Tom Corbett on Jan. 18, 2011 to be Secretary of Revenue, and he was subsequently unanimously confirmed to the post by the Pennsylvania Senate on May 3, and then sworn into office on May 20.

In addition to tax collection, the department administers the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, researches and develops revenue projections for the state budget and oversees the Pennsylvania Lottery, which generates funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.

Prior to being nominated as Revenue secretary, Meuser was with Pride Mobility Products for more than 20 years and is the former president of Pride USA. Located in Luzerne County, Pride Mobility Products Corp. is the world's leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of power wheelchairs and scooters.

Cost of the luncheon is $20. Seating for the luncheon is limited; reservations and prepayment are required. For more information or to reserve a seat, please call 268-2732 by March 8.
