Flood recovery work at various bridge sites in Sullivan County

Montoursville - Minichi Contracting Group, Inc. will begin emergency flood repair work on various state routes in Sullivan County on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Work will include debris and deposition removal as well as placement of rock for stream bank protection at 13 bridge sites along nine routes.

One-lane traffic will be maintained through each work zone.

Bridges included under this contract are along Route 87, Route 154, Route 1002 (Fitzgerald Road/Dutch Mountain Road), Route 1010 (Roaring Branch Creek Road), Route 2002 (Nordmont Road), Route 2003 (Elk Lick Road), Route 2008 (Christian Camp Road), Route 3003 (Outlet Road) and Route 4006 (Ellis Road).

Work under this $538,000 flood-recovery contract is expected to be completed by mid-January.

One-day closure on Route 154 East of Forksville to finish flood recovery work

Montoursville - On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Minichi Inc., the contractor for the emergency flood project on Route 154 near Forksville, will close the road to traffic to complete grouting work along the highway.

The daylight closure on Wednesday is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be from the covered bridge at Forksville to the ranger station entrance for Worlds End State Park.

The detour on Wednesday will follow Route 87 to Dushore and Route 220.

After Wednesday, any remaining work under this project will take place under traffic.
