Planning commission to wrap up changes
The Sayre Borough Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to continue to discuss proposed changes to the current light commercial district, according to commission chair Barbara Ault.
Commission members plan to review changes to the district discussed at a recent meeting, including changing the name of the present light commercial zone to "neighborhood services." The meeting will be held in the lower level of the Packer Avenue borough hall.
If the commission approves the changes, they will be forwarded to borough solicitor Jonathan Foster for a draft revision before the proposed changes are presented to members of the borough council.
The changes will affect the current light commercial areas on Keystone Avenue, North Lehigh Avenue and Elmer Avenue between Packer and Hayden streets, Ault said. Residents of those areas are encouraged to attend.
