Police Briefs 5/2/2012
State police at Towanda said someone burglarized the cabin of a 50-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman from Ringoes, N.J. sometime between noon April 3 and 7:15 a.m. April 4 on Grover-Wheelerville Road in Canton Township.
Police said the front door was kicked in and various items including tools with an engraving of "Terry H" or "TDH" were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186.
State police at Towanda said a burglary occurred at 3:34 p.m. April 6 at 1724 Monkey Run Road in Gillett, South Creek Township.
Police said the victim was a 61-year-old Norristown, Pa. man.
According to police, someone threw a rock through a window and climbed through the window and once inside, took anything of value. Police said the burglar or burglars then went to the shed in the backyard, forced it open, and took tools and lawn equipment from the shed.

Hit and run crash occurs
State police at Towanda said a hit and run crash took place at 3:52 a.m. April 18 on Homets Ferry Road in Wyalusing Township.
According to police, a red 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport was traveling south, and the operator lost control and hit a mailbox and utility pole. Police said the driver fled form the scene.
