A Towanda couple have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after numerous items related to drug manufacturing were found at their home.

Towanda police said they executed a search warrant Saturday at the Towanda residence of Charles A. Skaggs and Kelly R. Hart and seized an amount of purported methamphetamine and numerous items used to make the drug.

Skaggs, 44, and Hart, 43, were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, police said.

The home where Skaggs and Hart live is located on Packer Avenue in Towanda, police said.

Skaggs and Hart were arraigned by a local magisterial district judge.

Skaggs was released on $25,000 bail, police said.

Hart, who is Skaggs' girlfriend, is being held on $10,000 bail at the Bradford County jail, police said.

Skaggs and Hart must attend a preliminary hearing in Towanda District Court on May 22.
