Harrisburg - Towanda will be the spot for a pro-life town hall meeting sponsored by the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation and the Bradford County Pennsylvanians for Human Life. The public is invited to this event which will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at the American Legion Post 42, 912 Main St. There is no fee or advanced registration required to attend.

The town hall will feature Michael Ciccocioppo, executive director, and Micaiah Bilger, education coordinator, of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation based in Harrisburg. They will share the latest on important pro-life issues like the affects of the Affordable Care Act on abortion and euthanasia, Planned Parenthood, the abortion industry, ultrasounds, embryonic stem cell research and more. After a series of short fast-paced presentations they will respond to questions from those present.

"There is a lot of confusion across the state on so many pro-life issues. Often the media either ignores these issues or does not give a balanced report," Ciccocioppo said. "So we are circling the commonwealth and presenting the pro-life perspectives."

The pro-life town hall tour also includes stops in Pottsville, East Stroudsburg, Carbondale, Wellsboro, Saint Marys, Oil City, Beaver, Washington, Bedford, Palmyra Philadelphia and from April 8 through 18.

"All our volunteers at Bradford County PHL are thrilled to host this pro-life town hall meeting right here in our own backyard," said Mike Kilmer, the group's chairman. "I strongly encourage all citizens regardless of their personal beliefs to come out for this informative event."

Ciccocioppo is available to do telephone interviews with local print, broadcast and Internet media anytime until the event begins.
