A man wanted in Bradford County for violating the conditions of his bail has returned to the area.

William A. Ramsey, 50, is scheduled to face a hearing Monday before Judge Maureen Beirne of the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, according to information filed with the court. Ramsey was located in December in Arkansas, according to the county sheriff's department.

A warrant for Ramsey's arrest was issued in Bradford County in July after he violated bail conditions from an April arrest in Sayre by receiving an assault charge in Chemung County, N.Y., according to court information. The Chemung County Sheriff's Department also had a warrant out for Ramsey's arrest.

Sayre borough police arrested Ramsey April 28 and charged him with aggravated assault, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, simple assault, reckless endangerment and attempting to elude police following a vehicle chase through the area, according to a criminal complaint filed by borough police in district court.

Police said Ramsey discharged a round from a pistol aimed at Deborah E. Meyer, 41, of Sayre, then fled the scene. Police followed Ramsey's pickup truck through Barton and Nichols, N.Y. and Litchfield Township before officers stopped him on Front Street in Athens Township, police said.

Ramsey was remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $250,000 bail following his arraignment. A bail bond was filed with county court June 28, according to court information.

On July 11, Ramsey allegedly struck Meyer with a blue Dodge pickup truck in the area of county routes 2 and 8 in Chemung, then fled the scene, according to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office. Meyer had been a passenger in the truck, but exited following a verbal altercation in the vehicle, police said.

Meyer was treated at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, police said. Two others who exited the vehicle with her were not injured, according to police.
