Longtime Sayre Theatre manager Margie Ross is no longer with the theater, officials confirmed Thursday.

Elaine Poost, executive director of the Bradford County Regional Arts Council, confirmed that Ross is no longer the theater's manager. The BCRAC owns the Sayre Theatre as well as the Keystone Theatre in Towanda and the Rialto Theatre in Canton.

Ross declined to comment on the departure Thursday. Her picture and name have been removed from the staff listing on the BCRAC's website.

Ross had been nearing her 20th year as manager of the theater, which was renovated and reopened under the BCRAC's umbrella in 1995.

Under her management, the theater hosted several fundraisers for people in need and countless community events and performances. Recently, Ross had played an integral role in organizing the theater's upcoming centennial celebrations, including an old-time picnic scheduled for next Wednesday in Howard Elmer Park.

In 2012, one of the building's three theaters was named the D'Rosa Theatre in Ross' honor.
