Sayre man charged in two indecent assault cases

A Sayre man was recently arraigned in district court on charges he had indecent sexual contact with two female juvenile victims.

Charges were filed against Raymond Carl Brennan, 37, by Athens Township police in August 2011 and by Pennsylvania state police at Towanda in November 2011, according to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw.

Brennan was arraigned on the charges Jan. 23 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail, where he remains in lieu of a total of $35,000 bail between the two sets of charges, according to court information.

Township police charged Brennan with 20 counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age, indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age, and corruption of minors, police said.

The incidents that occurred at a township residence are alleged to have occurred several times between 2009 and late 2010, police said.

State police charged Brennan with five counts of aggravated indecent assault, five counts of indecent assault and one count of corruption of minors in relation to alleged incidents that occurred at a residence in Litchfield Township between 2006 and 2010, police said.

Brennan will face preliminary hearings on the charges Jan. 31 before Judge Shaw.
