Sayre residence burns on New Year's Eve

SAYRE — Firefighters responded to a house fire that broke out around 12:28 p.m. Thursday at 128 Hoover St. in Sayre.

Reports indicated that flames shot up through the roof and sent up large plumes of smoke at the residence, identifed as owned by  Chuck and Shannon Reid. A ladder truck was used as firemen tried to get it under control.
