A new store opening Saturday in Sayre will sell handmade crafts, decorations, soaps and other goods.

The women behind Four Sisters Goodies and Gifts have been painting, installing a lattice wall and setting up displays in the Desmond Street store, located at the former site of Color Bomb Tattoo, which moved down the street in October. The store will hold a grand opening from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday with refreshments and door prizes.

Melissa Bailey, Lori Willis, Susan Ingrassia and Wendy Friedrichsen - you guessed it, four sisters - have made a variety of items together for years, Willis said. "We each do a little something different," she said.

The sisters have sold their goods at craft fairs and flea markets for years and had recently set up shop at Tioga Downs' flea market before deciding to open the store, Willis said. "We finally decided we were ready to take the plunge," she said.

The store will sell a variety of items, including goat's milk soaps and body scrubs, wood crafts, crocheted items, home décor and jewelry. The store also has Christmas decorations, and the sisters plan to make decorations for every season in addition to traditional décor, Willis said.

The store has also applied for its food license to be able to offer bakery items and coffee in the future, Willis said.
