A 18-year-old female was transported by ambulance to Robert Packer Hospital after she was injured Saturday in a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township, police said.

The accident occurred as Allen A. Brewington of Towanda was driving east on Route 6 and Haley A. Edsell of Towanda was driving north on CraftMaster Road, police said.

Brewington told the police that Edsell did not completely stop for a stop sign at the intersection of CraftMaster Road and Route 6 and that she pulled into his path of travel, according to a press release that was issued by the state police at Towanda.

The front of Brewington's 2007 Ford F350 pickup truck struck the left side of Edsell's 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, police said.

Edsell, 18, suffered a moderate injury and was transported by ambulance to Robert Packer Hospital, police said.

Brewington, 58, was uninjured, state police said.

Edsell was cited for duties at stop signs, police said.

No citations or charges were filed against Brewington, police said.

The accident occurred at 1:58 p.m., state police said.
