The Tim Ruffo Band, with members from the Southern Tier region, will perform beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at The Railhouse on Broad Street in Waverly, N.Y. The Tim Ruffo Band, comprised of members Tim Ruffo, Anthony (Ant) Hopkins, Jack Briedenstein and Jake McKinney perform what Ruffo describes as Country Rock that offers a unique blend of acoustic guitar works, drums, bass and lead guitar.

With two CD's released, to include the recent release of 'Long Long Day' by Ruffo last summer, the band performs approximately one-third originals and two-thirds cover.

Either way, Ruffo stated that all of his songs carry a message that can people relate to.

The band, which was recently re-formed to include Jack Briedenstien on lead guitar and Jake McKinney on drums, has performed at many area venues to include two recent performances at Tioga Downs in Nichols, N.Y. The band, with their smooth country style and a bit of charm, has people on their feet and dancing to some of their more popular originals - written, according to Ruffo, to help people to let go of their worries and problems.

Ruffo, in his recent releases, has also brought out some ballads - songs that he says were prompted by experiences in his own life. "My songs are something that everyone can relate to," Ruffo added.

For those who like a little bit of country, and a dose of rock, you won't want to miss the band's Railhouse performance on Friday night. To learn more about the Tim Ruffo Band, visit http://www.reverbnation.com/timruffo or Like the band's page on Facebook.
