The Tioga County Fair at Marvin Park in Owego, N.Y. kicked off on Tuesday with a return to its agricultural roots. On Tuesday, guests were admitted free until 5 p.m., when the midway rides opened.

The fair board welcomed new members this year that had a vision of bringing the fair back to what it was in the past. The fair will be open through Saturday, with the following events taking place each day, to include the popular demolition derby planned for Wednesday and Friday evening on the track and at the grandstands.

Wednesday Schedule: 9 a.m.: Gates Open, 4-H Exhibits in the Youth Building; Gymkhana Horse Show; Open Dairy Competition begins; 3 p.m.: Midway Opens; 7 p.m.: Demolition Derby; 4-H Fun Night.

Thursday Schedule: 9 a.m.: Gates Open; 4-H Food Booth in the Youth Building; EMS Day; Kid's Day, Touch-A-Truck; 4-H Performance Horse Show; 2 p.m.: Midway Opens.

4 to 8 p.m.: Wine and Beer Tasting; 5 p.m.: Horse Pulls at the Grandstand; 4-H Goat and Sheep Show; Shadows of the Old West; 5:30 p.m.: Little Miss/Mr. Tioga; Miss Tioga County Fair; 7 p.m.: Live Entertainment.

Friday Schedule: 9 a.m.: Gates Open, 4-H Food Booth in the Youth Building, 4-H Dairy Show, Shadows of the Old West begins their shows; 11 a.m.: 4-H Beef Show; 2 p.m.: Midway Opens; 3 p.m.: 4-H Dog Show; 5 p.m.: 4-H Swine Show; 7 p.m.: Demolition Derby.

Saturday Schedule:

9 a.m.: Gates Open, 4-H Food Booth at the Youth Building, 4-H Poultry Show, Shadows of the Old West shows begin, Lumber Jack Competition Round 1 in the infield sponsored by Tioga State Bank; 10 a.m.: Open Beef Competition in the Cattle Barn, Archery Tournament begins, Truck and Tractor Pulls begin; 1 p.m.: Midway Opens, 4-H Rabbit Exhibition, Second Round of Lumberjack Competition on the infield; 7 p.m.: 4-H Livestock Sale.
