Second annual Tioga State Bank Coat Drive needs your help
Tioga State Bank (TSB) has announced that its second annual TSB Coat Drive, co-sponsored by Moreton Cleaners, has begun. There are many people this year who do not have a warm coat, and with temperatures dropping quickly, they need your help.
New and gently used coats are being collected in all sizes at the Tioga State Bank offices located in Spencer, Candor, Owego, Newfield, Van Etten and Waverly. Coats can also be dropped off at Moreton Cleaners in Waverly. Gently used coats will be cleaned by Moreton Cleaners and distributed locally.
Last year coats were donated to Tioga Catholic Charities, the Open Door Mission, the Salvation Army of Sayre, Spencer-Van Etten Food Pantry, Allied Christians of Tioga Food Pantry in Owego, Waverly Central Schools, Candor Food Pantry, Candor Central Schools and the Newfield Good Neighbor fund.
"We are happy to partner with Moreton Cleaners again this year to provide this important community outreach," said Kim Depew, marketing manager at Tioga State Bank.
She continued, "Last year was our first year and we collected almost 300 coats. Every coat collected was given to someone who really needed it. So many people were generous last year and we hope people will support our Coat Drive again this year."
Coats are being accepted now through Nov. 16, so hurry in and drop off your coat donation. For more information, call Kim Depew at (607) 565-3570 ext. 0721.
