'Troy Fair Food of the Day' Deep-fried butter on the menu at Troy Fair
TROY - The words "deep-fried" often are associated with fair food, and you can find all manner of deep-fried items at an aptly named food concession trailer at the Troy Fair.
It's called "Deep-Fried Heaven" and you can find it near Gate 2.
One of the business' specialties is deep-fried butter.
Robert Stevenson, who works at the business, said that a half of stick is butter is used.
A stick is put in it, and it's fried. It's seasoned with caramel, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.
He said a few people have been trying it.
One fairgoer, John Wilcox, tasted it, and liked it.
"It's very good," he said.
Stevenson said that other people who try the deep-fried butter have the same reaction.
