TROY - The Troy Area School Board is set to vote on a reshuffling of a handful of personnel.

The vote will take place at the board's meeting next week. This week, the board reviewed the proposed changes during a meeting.

The changes result from several position eliminations and new position creations. No one will lose their job in the reconfigurations, according to district superintendent Charles Young.

The board will vote on eliminating the following positions: wrestling cheerleader advisor, basketball cheerleader advisor, Title I Reading Teacher at W.R. Croman Primary School, first grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, sixth grade teacher, Lifeskills teacher at Troy Intermediate School, and secretary/aide at Troy Intermediate School.

The new positions to be created are winter cheerleading advisor, strength and conditioning coach, two kindergarten teachers, a fifth grade teacher, a Lifeskills teacher at the junior-senior high school, a personal care aide, a secretary/aid at the junior-senior high school, and a second personal care aide for placement out of the district.

Following these position changes, the board will then vote on several transfers, which will be accomplished as a result of the eliminations and new position creations.

The transfers are: Kathy Howard, from W.R. Croman Primary Title I Reading to Intermediate School Title I Reading, Jennifer Vosburg, from Grade 5 at Troy Intermediate School to W.R. Croman kindergarten, Kristen White, from Intermediate School Learning Support to W.R. Croman kindergarten, Lynda Miller, from Intermediate School Lifeskills to junior-senior high school Lifeskills, Brenda Vogel, from cafeteria worker (7 ½ hours) to out of district personal care aide, Kathy Kessler from Intermediate School secretary aide to junior-senior high school secretary aide.

The board will vote on recalling Danielle Wheeler to a high school 7 ½ hour cafeteria worker position and Shelley Wood to personal care aide.

Young said this action will "clean off the furlough list entirely."
