A Williamsport couple was killed Friday afternoon in a two-car accident on State Route 328 in Wells Township, the Bradford County coroner said.

The accident occurred as 35-year-old Ryan J. English was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban east on Route 328 and Roegester Grays of Lawrenceville, Pa., was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche west on Route 328, police said.

For an unknown reason, Grays' vehicle crossed over the center line into the path of English's vehicle, Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman said.

The two vehicles collided head on, police said.

English, 35, and his wife, who was a passenger in the front seat of his vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said.

Grays, 45, and three children who were in the second row of English's vehicle were all transported to Arnot Ogden Medial Center in Elmira, N.Y., police said.

Grays was listed in stable condition at the hospital on Saturday night, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.

Everyone involved in the accident was using a seat belt or was in a proper child safety seat, police said.

Ryan English and his wife, Karen E. English, both died of multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, police said.

The accident occurred at 4:54 p.m. at the intersection with Curren Lane, police said.
