VA mobile van at the Sullivan County Health Fair
The Department of Veterans Affairs' mobile vet center will be at the Sullivan County Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Sullivan County High School. This is a first for the Health Fair, and the first time that the center will visit Sullivan County.
The customized vehicle, used by the department to reach veterans in areas it cannot always reach, is equipped with confidential counseling space and a state of the art communication package - travels to communities to extend VA's reach to Veterans, service members and their families, especially those living in rural or remote communities. It offers several different types of counseling, including individual, family, group, marital and bereavement, as well as help applying for government benefits, employment guidance, alcohol and drug assessments and medical referrals. The vehicle is wheel-chair accessible.
