The Pennsylvania Department of Health is planning an H1NI vaccination clinic at the Robert Packer Hospital's School of Nursing Building from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 9 in Sayre.

It will be held in the living room of the School of Nursing Building on South Wilbur Avenue near the intersection with West Packer Avenue. Once inside the building, the living room can be located immediately on the left.

Individuals must schedule an appointment ahead of time, and can do so 24 hours a day at www.H1N1inPA.com under " H1N1 Vaccine Locations in PA." Click "H1N1 Vaccine Locations in PA" and then click "register now."

Those without Internet access can call 1-877-PA HEALTH (1-877-724-3258), Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phone lines are limited.

According to the Department of Health Web site, the department is now providing H1N1 vaccine to any Pennsylvanian who wants it. However, the department continues to urge members of priority groups to be vaccinated against H1N1.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), five groups of people are considered most vulnerable to complications from the H1N1 virus and should consider getting the vaccination for H1N1 flu.

The CDC has identified the following groups as priority groups for receiving the vaccination:

- Pregnant women

- Persons six months to 24 years old

- Healthcare providers and EMS personnel

- Parents, household members or caregivers of children under 6 months

- Those under 65 with certain underlying medical conditions

The Department of Health is holding the vaccination clinics for Jan. 8-9 throughout the commonwealth for Pennsylvanians who do not have access to the vaccination through his or her healthcare provider or do not have a provider.
