While you're doing your spring cleaning this year, set aside any gently used clothing that you don't wear anymore, and bring it to the Valley Kiwanis' clothing drive for The Bridge of the Penn-York Valley churches.

After hearing that The Bridge's Clothes Closet is in need of articles of clothing, the Valley Kiwanis decided to organize a clothing drive between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 20, to collect residents' donations of gently used clothing.

Valley Kiwanis members will be at three drop-off locations in the Valley. For those in the Waverly area, bring your clothing donations to Elderwood. In Athens, donations can be taken to North Jewelers. And if you're in the Sayre area, you can bring donations to Hughes Notary.

Items especially needed by the Bridge are children's items, men's items and larger-sized women's items. If you have any of these clothing items, or any other clothes you would like to donate, make sure to bring them to one of the drop-off sites between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 20.

The donated clothing will be given to The Bridge, which, according to its website, "is a non-profit organization of churches in the Penn-York Valley which serves residents in the school districts of Waverly, Sayre and Athens."
