Oil and gas staff from the state Department of Environmental Protection investigated a complaint of a burst water line in east Troy Township on Thursday.

The department received a complaint Thursday morning regarding a burst water line along Calkins Road, according to DEP spokesman Daniel Spadoni. The complainant said the line was being used by Schlumberger in the hydraulic fracturing of a well belonging to Chesapeake Appalachia, Spadoni said.

Spadoni had no further information on the burst line Thursday.

Information from Schlumberger regarding the complaint was unavailable Thursday.
