The Wells Township Community Days will be held beginning at 9 a.m. today, July 14, at the Wells Township Park in the township.

"What better way to spend the day than having fun with your family, friends and neighbors?" a flier for the event reads. "Bring your kids and enjoy a day at the park while the Wells Township Park hosts the Wells Township Community Days."

Here is the schedule:

- 9 a.m. - bake sale with pies, cakes, cookies, and breads

- 10 a.m. - kid-friendly fun activities including sponge toss and dunking booth, cupcake decorating and eating contest, and rag dolls and old-fashioned kid games hosted by "Heritage Ladies"

- 11:30 a.m. - kickball game (new this year) with a pickup game for all ages and parents vs. kids, mixed, etc.

- 1 p.m. - auction with all items donated by local residents and all proceeds to benefit the upkeep and maintenance of the park

Other activities include acoustic music by Levi Pedrick & Friends. You can bring your own instrument and join in on the fun. There will hamburgers, hot dogs, soda and water available for purchase by the Wells-Jackson Lions Club from about 11 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m.

Here are the directions to the park from Troy: Follow Route 14 North, take a left onto Coryland Road, and follow for 7.5 miles. The park is on the right.
