Auxiliary meeting set for Nov. 27
The November meeting of the Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary will be held in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church of Troy at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Poinsettia orders are due at this meeting. Contact any auxiliary member or call the Troy

As always, the community is invited to attend the monthly auxiliary meetings and consider membership.
Canton approves "Learning Leaders"
At its last meeting, the Canton Area School Board approved several people in the position of "Student Learning Leader."
They are Karen Boone, Kathy Coleman, Cindy Dewey, Nicole Gordon, Laura Heller, Brandy McRoberts, Cynthia Mitstifer, Jay Perry, Becky Roof, Stacey Segur, and Jen Swody.
In addition, Tim Ward was approved for the DJ Club and Jim Williams was OK'd as junior high boys basketball coach, pending completion of paperwork, at step 1. Marcie Jennings was approved as wrestling cheerleading coach, at step 4.
These items were approved under the updates to the sports and non-sports co-curricular lists for the 2012-13 school year.
Armenia Twp. hears updates
At the last Armenia Township supervisors meeting, supervisor and roadmaster Chad Harwick reported that the new grader has been delivered to the township.
It replaces the former grader, which broke in the summer.
In addition, Harwick noted that he is speaking with an area company regarding their trucks being used on unapproved township roads. Also, he stated that the downed tree in the Becker's Cemetery has been removed.
Township Emergency Management Coordinator Chuck Babcock said there was no damage from Hurricane Sandy in the township. Supervisor Richard Popolow agreed to take the position of Emergency Operations Commander for the township.
Tony Maldonado from AES reported that annual maintenance is going well on the wind turbines in the township, and one turbine is down for repair.
